Earth Day Message: Embrace not doing.

DEEP LISTENING: It's time to simply be with the wild land. Embrace not doing and sit in the stillness, quietly witnessing the aliveness of life unfolding in the wild landscape all around you.

Happy Earth Day!

I have a little something different for today's blog. With all the pressure to come up with a tantalizing and nourishing blog post weighing me down, I was relieved when a quiet, yet persistent idea came through bringing ease and grace to the process.

The idea? For me to draw a card from my Keys to Nature Connection Oracle Deck*, asking how each of us can best honor Earth today. Delighted by this idea, I reached across my desk for my deck and began shuffling. After centering myself with a few deep breaths, clearing my mind, and asking for Spirit to oversee the reading, I asked the question: "How can we best honor Earth today?" I continued shuffling until a card popped out. Normally one card shows up, but today two cards came out.

So, with excitement and hope, I share with you these two cards and their guidance as to how you can best honor Earth today. Both are Keys of Being cards and therefore strengthen and encourage the process of Deep Listening. I invite you to meditate on the cards. Journal* on them. Allow their imagery and words to speak to you and inspire how you can honor Earth today by embracing not doing.

Out of nothing arises the beautiful, the miraculous, the seeds of new life and all that ever will be.

KEY #1 Message:

Be curious. Connect back in with your innocence. You're being invited to stop, turn your ear to the wind, to the grass, to the stones, to the clouds and listen, engage, be open to what speaks to you. Trust what is emerging. Be joyous knowing that the world is full of magic and miracles!

The magic in the landscape happens in its own time. You're being invited to stop doing and quietly wait for the land to speak and share her secrets with you.

Key #4 Message:

Prioritize the moment you're in and the place where you are. Let go of all grasping, all trying, all controlling. The presence of the place will become palpable to you the more you practice letting go of doing, have patience and embrace being.

These two cards invite us to move at the speed of deep Earth time. In this time of busy, busy, busy, and progress, progress, progress this message is valuable. Gaia wants us to slow down and be still so we can meet her where she is. This is not only a gift we give to her but ultimately a gift we give to ourselves. May these cards inspire you.
